MainStage Mondays- How to Get a Gritty Rhodes Keyboard Sound

There’s nothing like a good Rhodes MKII sound, and there’s no easier program to make it with than MainStage 3. Here’s how to do it:

1. Open MainStage. Select the “keyboard” template.

2. In the channel strip window, double click on “E-Piano” to bring up the instrument window.

3. Select the preset Stage Mark II.

4. Turn the drive up to around 75%.

5. In the channel strip window, select amps and pedals>amp designer.

You should now have a convincing gritty sounding rhodes piano!
