Once in awhile I’ll want to send a midi control message to just my hardware keyboard, or I’ll have a midi controller brake on me and start sending random CC messages. Here’s how keep a rogue controller from hijacking your Mainstage project:
1. Open Mainstage. Select your favorite project.
2. Click on the channel strip that you want to modify.
3. Select the midi input section of the Instrument Channel Strip Selector. Under the “Filter” option, select the controller type you want to keep from reaching Mainstage.
4. From now on, that midi parameter will never affect the patch you’ve modified.
