I am incredibly thankful for a supportive wife. From day one, Sarah has been there to help me, encourage me, sacrifice financially for me, and generally help me accomplish my dream of being a full-time musician.

How does this relate to you?

You have a network of people around you (that includes girlfriends, wives, and fiancés) that either actively support you, passively support you, are neutral about you, or actively discourage you. Your significant other is probably the single most important person in that network. If they don't believe in what you do and are willing to make huge sacrifices for it, you are going to have an uphill battle accomplishing anything.

This also applies to anyone that you are close to- make sure that the people you have in your life love you, and believe in what you're doing.

Sarah and I are coming up on 4 years of knowing each other (2 years of being married), and I am tremendously thankful for all of the ways she supports me every day. You wouldn't be reading this blog if it wasn't for her.
