Recording at Starstruck Studios

Matt Leigh hired me to come in and do some overdubs with a few friends today at Starstruck. Magic happens in places like this.

Tried out my new keyboard rig, which includes:

• Dreadbox Nymphes for analog synth

• BOSS CH-5 chorus for spreading out the Nymphes

• Hologram’s new Chroma Console

• Empress Effects Zoia

• Strymon Big Sky Reverb

All the routing is handled by a MOTU Ultralite MK5, with an OWC usb hub powering everything. I’ve got some noise issues I’m still working through, but really liking the creativity that this rig offers.

Beautiful piano there, a favorite of the great Walter Mote I heard. At the end of the day it’s not about the gear, but it sure helps.
